City of Manchester triumph again.
On the weekend of 14th June 2008, in the first ever Greater Manchester Open held at the Birchwood Leisure Centre, Warrington we had two gymnasts competing, both at different levels.
Abbie Stirrup moved up from FIG junior to senior level this year and Chelsea Leach was competing for the first time at FIG Espoire level.

1st June was a long day for the coaches and judges of CMIG but well worth it with the results that the boys produced. The North West Floor & Vault Championship, 31st May 2008.
Saturday 31st May saw the younger club girls travel to Birchwood Leisure Centre Warrington, to compete in the North West Floor & Vault Championship.
The day was a great success with two CMIG gymnasts, Ellee Cheetham and Rebecca Shard

Greater Manchester Floor and Vault Championship 2008 & the Greater Manchester 4 piece.
The weekend of 10th / 11th May 2008 saw the Greater Manchester Floor and Vault Championship along with the Greater Manchester 4 piece competition taking place at Fit City, Ordsall.

Level 4 National Finals.
Katy Ann Barton, Stefanie Bowles and Naomi Gayle were the three girls representing the North West from CMIG at this year’s Level 4 National Finals.
Up against the best in their age group in the country, this proved to be their toughest competition yet.

Greater Manchester 2 Piece Competition.
Fit City, Salford.
The club boys and Junior Development boys competed in the Greater Manchester Floor and Vault competition held at Fit City, Salford on the weekend of 26th / 27th April.
The boys were on good form coming away with an array of medals across the board.
