The North West Floor & Vault Championship, 31st May 2008.

Saturday 31st May saw the younger club girls travel to Birchwood Leisure Centre Warrington, to compete in the North West Floor & Vault Championship.
The day was a great success with two CMIG gymnasts, Ellee Cheetham and Rebecca Shard becoming regional floor and vault champions in their respective age group.
In the pre novice under six, Ellee Cheetham performed superbly in her first ever competition. Ellee took gold on vault and bronze on floor giving her overall gold and making her North West champion. Well done Ellee!

In the novice under 8 Rebecca Shard took silver on vault (narrowly missing out on gold by 600th of a mark) and gold on floor with a great routine, giving her overall gold and making her North West champion in her age group.
Well done Rebecca!

Also competing in the novice under 8 were Orla Wilson and Kerris Scrivner.
Orla finished 5th overall coming 4th on vault and Kerris finished 6th overall taking silver on floor.
All the girls put in a fantastic performance, competing new moves for the first time. Well done to all the girls. Keep up the hard work.
