Greater Manchester Floor and Vault Championship 2008 & the Greater Manchester 4 piece.

The weekend of 10th / 11th May 2008 saw the Greater Manchester Floor and Vault Championship  along with the Greater Manchester 4 piece competition taking place at Fit City, Ordsall.

The girls taking part were.
Gabriella James, Rhena Hernandez, Lauren Burns, Shania Shiels, Shakira Nelson, Georgia Helire-Ward, Charlotte McGillan, Georgia Webb, Antonia Crowther, Nicole Borwiak, Martina Samuelsson, Susan Roberts, Iona Stratton, Stephanie Arknah, Hannah Todosijczuk and Senna Evans.

On the Saturday we had gymnasts medalling in various age groups.

In the pre novice under 9 Martina Samuelsson had a great competition taking 1st place on vault, 3rd place on floor and overall Gold.
Nicole Borwiak took 2nd on vault.

Pre novice under 10.
Shania Shiels took 3rd on vault, 3rd on floor and overall Bronze with both Lauren Burns and Shakira Nelson taking joint 2nd on vault.

Pre novice under 12.
Georgia Helire-Ward took 3rd on vault.

Pre novice under 8.
Stephanie Arknah took 3rd on vault.

Sunday saw Senna Evans competing in her 1st four piece competition.
Senna had a good round taking 3rd on Beam giving her 5th place overall.
