City of Manchester triumph again.

On the weekend of 14th June 2008, in the first ever Greater Manchester Open held at the Birchwood Leisure Centre, Warrington  we had two gymnasts competing, both at different levels.
Abbie Stirrup moved up from FIG junior to senior level this year and Chelsea Leach was competing for the first time at FIG Espoire level.
Both girls gave great performances with Abbie taking overall Silver and Chelsea taking overall Gold in their respective age groups. Along the way Abbie picked up silver on beam and bronze on floor whilst Chelsea surpassed everyone in her age group picking up gold on beam, gold on bars, gold on vault and bronze on floor.
This was a fantastic achievement for both girls. Well done!
